I was recently alerted to the fact that some types of Seventh Generation laundry detergent now have sweet almond oil in them.

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Qunli Wu, the Founder of Allerbling food allergy awareness bracelets. As an infant, her son was diagnosed with allergies to peanut and tree nuts. I came across Minute Maid Heart Wise® orange juice at my grocery store. It contains plant sterols to reduce cholesterol, and the label clearly states that the plant sterols are derived from highly refined oils like soybean and peanut. I just looked at the Minute Maid website for the U.S, and unfortunately that information is not disclosed on the site.

Recently, a fan of the Onespot Allergy Facebook page wrote in that starting six months ago, her son who is allergic to peanuts/tree nuts/ dairy/soy/peas has been having random itching mouth reactions to Rice Dream® . I love SunButter. It’s by far the best spread I’ve used. Of course my son is allergic to peanut and I can’t use peanut butter, but even if that weren’t the case, I would still prefer to use SunButter. I prefer the taste, and it also has some qualities I really appreciate:
