Hello Friends!
Jacob speaking, the son of Elizabeth. This is my first formal post on any social network owned by my mom, so I am pretty excited! I have been following what my Mom has been doing for the four years she has been doing it, and I have to say it is pretty cool to see how far the entire project has come along.
I believe that everything my Mom does is for the better, and I honestly think that without this huge project, I wouldn’t be as safe with allergies as I am now. Reading, writing, and researching has taught my Mom even the things that some Doctors don’t know. Pretty cool, huh? I don’t think I have really acknowledged that, so this was the time to.
I haven’t introduced myself publicly either, so here I am. I am not really into the allergy community as a personal interest, as I think all of you know. However, I am involved in it at some level. What I am personally interested in is computers. I code games and love to do it, and I’m sure a lot of others’ children, maybe some of them being your children do too, and I encourage them to keep going. Through two years of self-teaching, I have learned how to write four programming languages “fluently”.
I’m eleven years old and I’m very, very surprised at how fast a blog can grow in such little time. I watched the progress of my Mom’s blog through the years it has been up and running. Trust me on this, it is astonishing. Anyways, I think that’s all my time folks.
I’m glad I was finally able to introduce myself in detail and publicly, and was able to talk about the way I feel about my Mom’s project. Thanks for reading! So long.
Sincerely,
Jacob
Hello once again, everyone! August 14 2013
Nice to see that some people have commented. Thank you for those compliments, Trish, and it’s wonderful to hear that you and your daughter are coping with allergies so positively.
Selena, I’m glad you found my entry interesting. I think it’s cool that you and your husband both have an interest in computer science, and that you predict your daughter will pick up the interest too. It’s nice to meet you too!
Sincerely,
Jacob 🙂
Great post, Jacob! It’s so great of you to take time to acknowledge all of the work your mother has done, for her various projects. It’s nice to “meet” you and learn about your interests. My husband and I are also very interested in computers and hope our almost-5-year-old daughter will take an interest as she grows. 🙂
Hello Jacob! You are an amazing writer! Wow-you have taught yourself so much about computers too! It is wonderful to read how proud you are of your mom. She is fantastic and I have learned a lot from her too! I have a daughter who has over 20 food allergies and ,like you, she loves writing and also robotics. If you decide to continue posting, I would love to follow. Take care and keep being a great role model f
