I tried dark chocolate Vermont Nut Free “Skippers” last week, a candy coated chocolate identical to M&M’s, which are guaranteed to be peanut and nut free. We can’t have M&M’s of course, since even the plain ones clearly state on the label that they may contain traces of peanuts or other nuts.
The dark chocolate Skippers are part of the Vermont Nut Free trail mix that I purchased from Peanut Free Planet for our trip to Chicago last week. The Skippers are the best part of that trail mix, and the dark chocolate ones taste exactly like plain M&M’s. I think they’re actually better than M&M’s, since they’re larger and therefore pack more flavor.
I had my order shipped to my hotel, and since it was a USA destined order over $100, this allowed me to get free shipping. You can tell Peanut Free Planet where you’re heading in Order Comments, and they’ll time the shipment of your order to arrive with you at your destination. I called our hotel, so that they knew to expect the parcel.
In case you’re curious, this is what I ordered from Peanut Free Planet to have with us during our trip for snacks:
EnerPro Bar Variety 24-Pk x 1
EnerPro Double Chocolate Bar x 12
EnerPro Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Bar x 12 (I really like the EnerPro bars, since they’re high protein).
Vermont Nut Free Trail Mix 12 oz Bag x 2
Enjoy Life Foods Mountain Mambo Trail Mix x 3
Enjoy Life Foods Beach Bash Trail Mix x 1
Gerbs Lightly Sea Salted Pumpkin Seeds x 1
I wanted to have snacks that Jacob would be excited to eat, in case any of our restaurant meals didn’t work out. I also brought along fresh fruit, home made muffins, bread, oatmeal, SunButter, and jam for light breakfasts in our room. Everything worked out perfectly, and we had an absolutely fabulous trip!
